Question: How long is a rhinoplasty recovery and what can be done for me?
Answer: A closed rhinoplasty approach can accomplish shaving down the dorsal hump, straightening the bridge line, narrowing the nasal bones, and refining the bulbous nasal tip. All the incisions are placed on the inside of the nose. No external incisions are required, and no painful packing is required either. Thick skin in the tip of the nose prevents refinement in that area, so it is important have realistic expectations.

Question: Rhinoplasty expectations and what should I be asking for?
Answer: A closed rhinoplasty approach can accomplish straightening the nose, refining the nasal bridge line, decreasing the overall projection of the nose, shaving down the dorsal home, and reducing the significant hanging columella present. All of the insertions are placed on the inside of the nose. No external incisions are required and no painful packing is required. 

Question: Nose tip drop after primary rhinoplasty – is a revision or tip plasty required to get my desired result?
Answer: you have a fantastic looking nose, and it would be way too risky to try to raise your tip and possibly ruin your results. The more you lift the tip up, the more your nose will look “Miss Piggy” from the front profile with too much nostril show. You also have a recessive chin profile,so consider a placement of a chin implant to augment your chin forward for a better facial balance and proportions, especially with respect to your nose.

Question: Mini facelift for 30-something year old?
Answer: At 30 years of age, you do not need it in any type of facelift or mini lift. You have a prominent pre-Jowl sulcus just in front of your Jowl area. This can be augmented with a pre-Jowl style chin implant without giving you any forward projection, and just fill in your two sidewalls of your chin. This procedure can be performed under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure, which takes about 30 minutes.

Question: What procedures would yield best results for me?
Answer: It’s difficult to tell from your limited photographs, what the most appropriate procedure would be. Liposuction can only accomplish removal of the fat deposits above the platysma muscle, while a surgical neck lift is required to remove the fat deposits above and below the muscle, which also includes a platysma plasty to significantly improve the jawline. You appear to have deposits, located both above and below the muscle.

Question: Jaw contouring – What are my options?
Answer: Placement of a chin implant can augment the chin forward for better facial balance and portions from the side profile. Chin implants are manufactured in large array of sizes, thicknesses, and shapes. They can be placed through a small incision underneath the chin under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure which takes approximately 30 minutes.

Question: How can I get ready for the recovery process for a face, brow and eye surgery?
Answer: Every plastic surgeon has their own preoperative and postoperative protocol, so it’s always best to check with your operative surgeon Regarding these three procedures.

Question: What can I do to help my side profile?
Answer: Digital computer imaging of your nose upon your facial features would be helpful in the education process to understand what can and cannot be accomplished with a surgical closed rhinoplasty.

Question: Double chin: Neck lipo vs. Neck Lipo with Platysmaplasty?
Answer: The photographs are very limited, but it appears that there is fat deposits located above and below the platysma muscle. Liposuction can only accomplish removal of fat deposits above the platysma muscle while a surgical necklift is required to remove the fat below the muscle. A platysma plasty just improves the jawline, it is mandatory when removing fat deposits below the muscle. No skin removal is required.

I am interested in getting a rhinoplasty. I find my nose to be over projected, but unsure about the front.

A closed rhinoplasty procedure can accomplish decreasing the overall projection of the nose, shaving down the dorsal hump, and straightening the nose from the front profile with placement of spreader grafts in the midportion of the nose. All incisions are on the inside of the nose. No external incisions are acquired and no painful packing is required either.
